    Garlic clove

    Olive oil



    1. Crush 1-2 garlic cloves with a mortar and pestle.
    2. Add the garlic paste with 3 Tbsp olive oil and 3 Tbsp of honey.
    3. Apply this paste on the ringworm.
    4. Leave paste on for one hour.
    5. Wash off with lukewarm water.
    6. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day for at least 2 weeks.

    Tea Tree Oil

    Tea tree oil is known to be the best remedy for ringworm because of its anti-fungal and anti-septic properties. However, it is a very strong oil, so if it is too strong for your skin, you can dilute it with warm water.  Try this tea tree oil recipe to relieve ringworm:

    Ingredients & Supplies

    100% pure tea tree oil

    Cotton swab or ball

    Warm water (optional)


    1. Clean the ringworm and dry it completely.
    2. Take the cotton swab and pour 3 drops of tea tree oil on it.
    3. Apply the oil to the entire ringworm.
    4. Repeat this 3-4 times a day.

    Steps for diluted tea tree oil

    1. Dilute 1½ Tbsp of oil with 1 cup of warm water.
    2. Soak the cotton ball into the solution.
    3. Apply the cotton ball onto ringworm.
    4. Repeat 3-4 times a day for about 3-4 weeks.

    Apple Cider Vinegar

    Apple cider vinegar contains highly acidic qualities that carry anti-fungal properties. Since fungi can’t thrive within a highly acidic environment, the apple cider vinegar can eliminate the fungi and heal the skin. Like tea tree oil, it is very strong for skin, so if you don’t know if your skin is sensitive, apply a drop of vinegar to a patch of your skin to determine if it stings or burns. If you feel that sensation, you may be sensitive to the vinegar.  Try this apple cider vinegar recipe to relieve ringworm:

    Cotton ball


    1. Clean the ringworm with warm water and pat dry.
    2. Apply the vinegar onto the cotton ball.
    3. Apply the cotton ball to the ringworm.
    4. Do this twice a day for 3-4 weeks.

    Aloe Vera

    Aloe Vera is known for its ability to gently heal skin infections. It contains anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and antibacterial properties that relieve the skin of infection. Try this aloe vera recipe for ringworm:

    1. Apply the gel to the ringworm.
    2. Leave it there for 20-30 minutes.
    3. Wash off with lukewarm water.
    4. Repeat 2 or 3 times a day.

    Oregano Oil

    Oregano oil is composed of compounds, like carvacrol, thymol, cymene, and terpinine. These compounds are naturally therapeutic and effectively treat fungi. Try this oregano oil recipe for ringworm:


    Oregano essential oil

    Rosemary essential oil

    Wild thyme oil

    Sweet almond oil


    1. Combine 3-5 drops of oregano essential oil, 3-5 drops of rosemary essential oil, 1-2 drops of wild thyme oil, and 2-3 tbsp of sweet almond oil.
    2. Apply this oil mixture to the ringworm.
    3. Repeat 3-4 times a day.
