Sage is widely known as a culinary medicinal plant. However, it also has a large range of medicinal properties. It is anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial. It has also been known to act as a memory booster and an anxiety reliever. This powerful herb has a variety of internal and external medicinal uses.
Sage is an evergreen shrub with pale green-gray leaves, a woody stem, and a strong aroma. It has a height of about 18 to 24 inches and it grows lavender colored flowers in the summer. Its medicinal properties are taken from the leaves and essential oils of the plant.
