Natural Remedies for Sore Throat
Here is a video that shows different options to help heal your sore throat quickly. It shows the background of the natural remedies and what they do to your throat.
A sore throat can occur from the following situations:
- Dry air from the night
- Common cold
- Acid reflux
A sore throat is primarily an inflamed pharynx, which is the tube that begins at the back of the mouth to the esophagus. It can be caused from a minor problem, or it can be from a serious illness. Dr. Josh Axe provided several natural remedies that can help heal your throat in the video above, including the following:
- Olive Leaf Extract– it is anti-viral and can kill off the bad bacteria in the body.
- Colloidal Silver – it is anti-viral and antibacterial and can be used as a throat spray so that you can spray it in the back of your throat to see results.
- Sea Salt – it gives a soothing effect and can be gargled with warm water at least several times a day.
- Essential Oils – lemon, oregano, and peppermint oil are oils that are known to be helpful for sore throats.
Other Remedies to Heal a Sore Throat
In addition to these options to help your sore throat, there are also other options that should be considered. Sleeping at least 9-10 hours a night will help the throat to take care of itself and allow the body to self heal. While you get ready to go to sleep, use a nasal spray to eliminate postnasal drip. Also, changing your diet can help your sore throat. For example, laying off of sugar, dairy and grains, while eating vegetable or chicken soup will help soothe a sore throat. These natural remedies give your body a chance to contribute with its natural healing abilities.
